Tracking settings

Participants can only change their tracking settings through their personal user account. The following settings are available in your user account:

  • Private: You do not want to be tracked. If you select this option, your name will not be shown in the search in the tracking area of the event website or the GENERALI BERLIN-MARATHON 2027-App and will only be published in the results list together with your ranking in the race.
  • Public: Everyone can follow your race via the live results on the event website or in the GENERALI BERLIN-MARATHON App.
  • Code: You decide who can follow your race via the live results on the event website or in the GENERALI BERLIN-MARATHON App. Share your tracking code with your supporters. This code will be requested when searching in the tracking area of the app or on the website.

Timekeeping

Timing is tracked via a transponder on the back of your race number. Timing starts and stops automatically as soon as you pass through the start or finish gate.

To ensure accurate timekeeping, do not bend your race number.

Since this is a “disposable transponder,” there is no need to return it.

Self-catering

If you wish, you can have your food delivered to the individual aid stations.

Please note the following:

  • Glass containers are not permitted.
  • Label your container with your name, bib number, and refreshment station.
  • Bring it to the “Bring Your Own Refreshments” booth by 7:45 AM at the latest.

The booth is expected to be located outside the fenced-off area at Annemarie-Renger-Str. / Otto-von-Bismarck-Allee.

Feel free to use your own hydration system. This also helps reduce plastic waste. Refill stations are available at all aid stations.

You can find an overview of the aid stations on the interactive map.

After crossing the finish line

If you didn't sign up for the clothing drop-off when you registered for the race, you'll receive a poncho after the race. This will be indicated by a poncho symbol on your bib number.

Massages

Starting at the 25-kilometer mark, there are massage stations every 5 km.
